An innovative approach
to service delivery

The Centrix WorkSpace Solution is made up of three packages:

Centrix WorkSpace obtains detailed information about the endpoint devices currently located within an enterprise and provides an audit of current client hardware and software. WorkSpace then delivers intelligence on the collected data in order to produce detailed reports and provide information to aid planning and optimization of physical and virtual desktop infrastructures. WorkSpace aggregates the actual application usage data from each of the individual technology (application delivery) silos that are in place, such as Citrix XenApp, XenDesktop, XenServer, VMware VDI, Microsoft Hyper-V, local applications and internal and external web-based applications.

By aggregating real usage data from all the underlying application delivery silos, WorkSpace allows IT teams to centrally monitor and report on under-utilized and over-deployed applications across the enterprise – turning data into information on actual business demand.

WorkSpace catalogs all applications, making administration easier, and seamlessly presents services and content to users through a rich and thin web interface. This interface can be branded and re-skinned to meet user and corporate requirements. Users have access to an aggregated application store, making available all the applications relevant to their role and job function across the delivery silos.

For customers that wish to benefit from both WorkSpace iQ and WorkSpace Universal, they can purchase WorkSpace Suite. WorkSpace Suite is an attractively priced combination of WorkSpace iQ and WorkSpace Universal, providing an even greater ROI.

The Centrix Interconnect Platform (CIP)

At the core of the Centrix WorkSpace Suite is the Centrix Interconnect Platform (CIP). It provides an enterprise class, scalable, highly available application authentication,  delivery and usage aggregation layer.

The CIP provides a web-based interface to all the metering and usage information collected from the WorkSpace Discovery agent, other installed software asset management and PC lifecycle tools, as well as from Citrix and VMware installations and from the WorkSpace Universal presentation product.

CIP utilizes a number of shared services, which communicate with Active Directory to authenticate and obtain group membership details; a management console for configuration of all components and a Resource Broker which displays the available applications. It also contains a series of data adapters. The adapters are the method by which the Interconnect Platform obtains all the available applications and resources for the user and provide the path for data collection on application usage from across the centralized application delivery estate.
